Selecting tabsWhy?

View multiple open files side by side without manually creating an editor layout. Select multiple tabs to display several open files side by side. Each selected tab is displayed in its own editor pane.

Selecting tabs

Select and unselect tabs in the Buffer Explorer:

Action Result
⌘ Command + ⇧ Shift + O Open Buffer Explorer.

Add or remove a tab

Action Result
⌘ Command + Click Add or remove a tab from the current selection.

Editor panes follow the order of the selected tabs. Drag tabs to reorder the layout.

Select a range

Action Result
⇧ Shift + Click Select every tab between the active tab and the clicked tab.

This works similarly to selecting a range of files in the macOS Finder.

Select a single tab

Action Result
Double-Click or ⏎ Return Select and make tab the only selected tab.

In the editor:

⌘ Command + Escape Make current tab the only selected tab.

Why?

Opening several files side by side usually means setting up splits first, then deciding which file goes where.

Tab Multi-Select works the other way around. Select the tabs you want to see, and Koi arranges them automatically.

Select another tab to add it to the layout. Unselect one to remove it.
